WELCOME TO MILAN!

As President of the Organizing Committee, it is with great pride and sincere pleasure that I now extend the warmest welcome to all those who will take part in the 19th Kendo World Championship, which will take place in Milan.

After the dark years of COVID which also blocked all kendo activities, the General Assembly of the International Kendo Federation – FIK – has identified Italy and, in particular, the City of Milan with its splendid Palazzetto dello Sport Mediolanum Forum for the restart of the most prestigious Intercontinental Trophy. This choice, which is a demonstration of trust and appreciation of our abilities, makes us proud and aware of the responsibility it entails and is an incentive to create an unforgettable event.

The Italian Kendo Confederation, under the supervision of the FIK and with the patronage of the Municipality of Milan, is working with dedication, ability, professionalism and enthusiasm so that the 19th Kendo World Championship is a great success and the permanence in our city of all those who participate, in any capacity, can be remembered as a pleasant and rewarding, unique experience
